Saige Kukla is a Founding Kid Critic for CritiqueByKids.com, a video review website that focuses on creating video reviews that show a child's perspective of family-friendly businesses. The site also reports on major events and conducts celebrity interviews by Founding Kid Critics. Saige has been a Founding Kid Critic since her mother, Deadawn Kukla, founded the company in 2013 when Saige was 9 years old.
The original idea for the company came as Deadawn was homeschooling her 8 children. She wanted to create a mock business during the summer of 2013 for a homeschool project. The idea gained enough positive attention that they formalized the company within a month. In 2017, Critique By Kids added a social media platform, which allows families to earn points, that can be traded in for cash or free products. Points are earned by uploading video reviews each time they go to a featured business. Clients include Chick-Fil-A, IFLY, Sport Clips….even The Philadelphia Phillies.
Saige had her first big media experience in 2015 when she presented Blake Shelton with "The Critique By Kids Most Influential Artist Award." She took a break from reporting in 2016 when, at age 12, she started high school. She is currently a junior in high school and enjoys participating in cross county and track.
"The Taste of The NFL was the perfect event to step back into my role as a Founding Kid Critic. My mother has taught me to make service a priority in my life. Plus, how could I resist the food!" exclaims Saige. "I'm looking forward to reporting on several more major events in 2019."
